Diamond Dog is a huge personality, in a small body. He’s very intelligent, extremely loyal and incredibly strong minded. When not practicing his violin or piano, Diamond is an amateur detective and models himself after Sherlock Holmes. Constantly on the move, Diamond finds it hard to slow down and ‘smell the roses’. The only band mate that can really calm him down is his best friend, the super chilled out Yugawaralite Yak. Diamond’s one weakness is that he has a soft spot for Jade Jaguar and her hypnotic green eyes – WOWZA!

Garnet loves to paint because it’s his way of expressing his feelings. If he feels sad – let’s paint. When he feels happy – let’s paint! And the result is surprising…because Garnet ONLY paints his favorite thing…volcanoes. When not painting, you’ll find Garnet listening to jazz records and practicing on his sax or trumpet. Garnet loves big sounds, especially the sound of him thumping his chest and stomping about dancing. Garnet is a huge personality and popular with all his bandmates, although he is particularly fond of Viridine. He hopes one day, she’ll teach him to play football.

Look into my eyes… Jade has hypnotic powers! She’s gorgeous and her amazing eyes mean she can captivate anyone she looks at. Jade is a big day dreamer and is often lost in her own world. She’s not the most observant and will be playing with butterflies while chaos erupts around her. As the lead singer of the band Jade has lots of fans (especially Diamond) but she doesn’t realize it because her head is always in the clouds. Like all jaguars, Jade prefers to be active at night, where she spends her time writing new songs for the band to perform. Jade’s best friend is the band’s other big cat, Topaz Tiger, although she can’t understand why he’s so scared of the night! Jade introduced her bandmates to her favorite Colombian dish, arepas!

Ruby is the sweetest, cutest looking thing around. Soft and fluffy, with a twitchy little nose – you just want to give her a big kiss and a squeeze. BUT do so at your peril because Ruby doubles as a ninja bunny and one false move and she’ll round-house kick you to the moon. Not everybody knows this, but Ruby trains with some of the most respected, mystical kung fu masters. Talking of mystical, Ruby is best friends with Umbalite Unicorn. Ruby is fearless on the dancefloor mesmerizing anyone who watches her perform her flamenco. She is a big fan of meditating and dreaming up new crazy drum solos.

Topaz hasn’t got with the program that he’s one of the most powerful cats alive…because Topaz, with his huge paws, powerful legs and razor-sharp teeth is actually one big scaredy cat. He’s scared of most things – loud noises, heights, weird looking food, (yuk what’s that?), rain, thunder, lightning, but he’s especially afraid of the DARK. Topaz likes to hang out with Jade but secretly thinks his magnificent stripes are cooler than her jaguar rosettes! He likes to think he can master any stringed instrument although there’s no sound he loves more than the strumming of his Sitar. Topaz introduced his bandmates to his homemade curry recipe.

Umbalite hails from the mysterious Land of Myth and Legend, which some say is the location of the greatest concert stage in the universe. Umbalite is strong and powerful but she doesn’t feel the need to shout about it. She just has to walk into a room and BOOM everyone looks. Her beauty, strength and THAT horn – it’s always going to be a winning combination especially when she hits the dance floor. And boy does she LOVE to dance, preferably on a light-up disco floor where she glimmers and shines and everyone else fades into the background. Umbalite loves to spend time with Ruby Rabbit and feels together they perfectly represent GIRL POWER!

Aside from music and salsa, Viridine is obsessed with two things. Football and using her amazing night vision to rocket through the sky going faster than anyone else! Viridine’s best friend is Garnet Gorilla, and she absolutely loves it when he cooks Brazilian feijoada in the Mansion Kitchen as it’s her favorite dish. Viridine sleeps hanging upside down from the ceiling in her room, which is sometimes difficult if any of her bandmates are stomping around in the room above her!

What’s the rush man? Yugawaralite is the ultimate mellow dude. He never rushes and loves to spend hours standing and thinking. Or maybe just standing. Yugawaralite is very, very proud of how long his name is. He loves watching people try to pronounce it and when they finally get how to say it he lets them call him by his nickname ‘Yugi’. Yugawaralite thinks Diamond Dog is hilarious because of how manic he is, although a little tambourine playing usually mellows his friend out.

It’s not just Zircon’s body that is all zig-zag - his mind is too. Black on white? No, white on black! Zircon is all over the place – he just can’t make up his mind! Inevitably at the very moment a decision is about to made, you can guarantee one of his friends will come along and change his mind (of course Diamond loves to do this, just to mess with his head). His indecisiveness is probably why he still can’t decide whether to live in the Geminose Mansion along with his bandmates. Zircon is particularly close with Opal, who he thinks is the coolest person on the planet.

Opal Opossum is a walking database of information about the history of Hip Hop. She spends all her spare time researching the genre and all the artists that contributed to it. When she’s not practicing on her decks or synthesizer she’s instead practicing her break dancing moves or designing art for her graffiti murals. Her favorite pastime is catching huge air on her skate board in New York’s central park. Opal has a secret crush on her best friend Zircon Zebra!
